Hi Folks -- an assortment of news that relates to our issue below.
From the AAAE (American Association of Airport Executives): https://www.airportscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ACI-NA-AAAE-Joint-Issue-Brief-on-Pilot-Privacy-Act.pdf ACI-NA and AAAE urge Congress to reject the Pilot and Aircraft Privacy Act. The bill would undermine airport safety, efficiency, and financial accountability – harming the very users it aims to protect. Airports are public entities and must retain the ability to responsibly use available data to manage operations, ensure safety, and collect fair user fees that keep their facilities and the national aviation system safe and self-sustaining. This is framing the pilot's opposition to landing fee as a threat to the airport. It could be argued that pilots who oppose landing fees are threatening the airports long term viability. That's an important point to speak to.
