Next MP Update - 2026? 2028?
Anslow has said it is a 20 year visioning plan/exercise since they started working on this while the meetings were still in person.
Master plans are usually 20 year planning periods, although they say to do a new MP every 10 years.
When you plan to make changes to the runways, taxiways, etc., supposed to do a new MP. Also when ops change or planning for growth (2011 MP was done around the Gulfstream III I think as the “Design Aircraft.”)
Have to show existing and future sound contours and plans for projected ops growth and type of aircraft expected in future.

The 2028 MP update is included for 2028 at a cost of $500k. Yesterday he said it would cost $1 million. Look at slide p 21 "Airport MPs Generally". "Funding provided by FAA with a target update every 10 years". Slide p 22 - projected growth 193,000 - 265,200, and current day is less than what the plan projected. MP 2011 Exec Summary - look at Figure 1-2 and notice the "2009 MP High" forecast in year 2020. It's essentially on target for 2020 ops and we have too much noise, and have had too much noise for more than 3 years. What does that tell you? Yet, PA still argues that the MP doesn't need to be updated because it estimated 235k ops (in 2028 by looking at the graph) and we aren't there yet so everything is okie dokie according to his view.
